DIANA RIGG Peter Cook FLYING Roger Wood QUORUM Queen MAGAZINE 1967

£195.00

Default Title

A super collectable 60s issue of the iconic British women's magazine Queen featuring a classic James Bond influenced cover with top gun Miss Constance Fenton, a qualified helicopter pilot, shot by renowned British photojournalist Roger Wood.

A really quirky issue all about flying with articles on how much it costs to run an aircraft, the quickest way to get your pilot's license, and the pros and cons of owning a helicopter.

PLUS lots of brilliant 60s fashion including a 4 page Masque themed feature with Diana Rigg and Peter Cooke shot by Stanley Donen, and a striking 8 page women wear fashion feature including designs by Young Jaeger, Roland Klein, Graham Smith, and Quorum shot on an airfield by John Stember.

A rare issue of a really great magazine!

Originally a society magazine in the early 50s, editor Jocelyn Steven bought the magazine in 1958 and shifted the format, content and readership to turn Queen into one of the most iconic publications of its time. Working with Beatrix Miller, Norman Parkinson and later Helmut Newton, Queen became a definitive bible for all things 60s.

Very good condition for a magazine of this age with some light wear (see images of actual copy).
