Beautiful and rare vintage Vogue Pattern Book, featuring pre-WWII designs.

Vintage December 1931 - January 1932 issue of the British edition of Vogue Pattern Book.

VERY rare as so much paper was recycled during the war 1939-1945, a crafty rare WWII survivor! English Vogue began in 1916 and this issue is a rare artefact. These early issues of UK Vogue are supremely difficult to find now.

Fashion illustrated cover and FULL of fantastic 1930's designs

50 pages of mostly pattern designs

Features clothes such as lingerie, bridal, evening gowns, daywear, trousers, skirts, day dresses and more.

This magazine was originally attached to the regular edition of Vogue by a piece of string which ran through a hole punched through both magazines.  Pattern supplements are much more difficult to find as most seem to have been discarded.

During World War II British Vogue was kept in print as a part of the war effort. One of its influences was to encourage people to recycle and contribute paper to the war effort. Conde Nast sent their archives to be pulped and had features on taking part in recycling effort.
As a result any British Vogue pre 1945 are some of the rarest magazines on the planet.

Excellent condition with natural light wear, see detailed photographs of this copy.
This PATTERN BOOK would have originally been tied to the main issue of Vogue by a piece of string threaded through the purpose made hole to the top left of the magazine.
