The cover is by the late Terence Donovan and was featured in his recent retrospective exhibition at The Photographers Gallery in London.

The entire issue is dedicated to The Female Form with a history of its representation.

The cover story features a double page spread inside of pin-up beauties including Marilyn Monroe, Twiggy, Rita Hayworth (full page photo in a bikini by John Kobal), Jane Russell etc etc all under the title of Eroticism.

The lines on the cover refer to the measurements of famous women including Twiggy, Brigitte Bardot, and Venus de Milo!

Alfred Hitchcock has his portraits taken in California by Robert Freson for an article to introduce a new book about film directors.  6 pages including a Q&A excerpt from the book.

The nude and early photography.  Full page 'Woman in New Orleans' by Bellocq, 1913.  

A model is photographed by Donovan wearing vintage corsets throughout the ages, to the the 1920's and sixties.  Original corsets from 1770 (on loan from the V&A) and copies from 1710 are worn in a beautiful fashion spread.  4 pages, several photographs.

A profile of the bookie William Hill.  Full page portrait at home by Malcolm Hart, includes interview, 3 pages.

Wonderful issue, a real snapshot of the 60s, and an iconic cover to boot!

Very good condition - all pages intact. There is a slight movement of paper from the staples with tiny tears of a couple of mm but it is fully intact. Scarce collector's item - insurance is included in all postage rates quoted.
