RENE GRUAU Sir Men's International Fashion Journal ILLUSTRATION magazine 70s VTG
Exceptionally rare Rene Gruau illustrations in hard to find title Sir - Men's International Fashion Journal.
This is a scarce men's fashion journal published in Holland.
The cover is a classic 1970's colour illustration by Rene Gruau. There are 4 further pages of Gruau inside of Men's Winter 1974 styles.
There is also a write up about an exhibition of Rene Gruau's fashion drawings at The Hague. The show was curated by Mrs E. Hertzberger-Katz, the owner of International Textiles publishing. This feature contains a rare photo of Mr Gruau. It was a rare show with little reference to it online.
This is a larger format magazine Journal aimed at the fashion trade, not easily available to the public.
122 pages, 34 x 24.5 cm, spiral bound.
This is a Dutch magazine with English, French and Dutch text.
Condition is very good. The photographs you see are from the actual copy you will receive. The cover has some wear visible in the photographs and it is excellent inside. The back cover has a small tear (the Christoph Andreae ad is the back cover - last photo). The original subscription slip is still inside, along with a colour chart.

Our Covid Virus Plan - November 2020
We are still trading. We are still posting sales. The post office has advised, as an essential service, that it will remain open. There are also extra cargo planes to keep up with demand, and couriers such as FedEx and DHL have increased capacity.
We have lots of packaging in stock, we started self isolating in early March and we have a new, very stringent cleaning routine in place. We have thousands of magazines close to us in our archive and office and we also have many more in boxes in storage. Any stock we retrieve is being handled with gloves. All of our stock is already sealed, as all our vintage magazines are stored in individual archive sleeves, in acid-free boxes, and in climate-controlled art storage.
The world has changed and it will continue to change in profound ways that we cannot fully imagine. We have no other income and we really appreciate any sales we make that at this time. As we start this long path of isolation and spend more time cut off we are, in a small way, a little excited about the idea of being able to provide reading material and rare magazines for people all over the world. With love from all of of us at this very difficult time. Stay safe x
