Rene Bouche BRUSSELS FAIR William Klein CORBUSIER Jessica Daves LBD Brazil VOGUE
This United States edition of Vogue is dated 15th April, 1958. The editor was Jessica Daves.
The cover, and an equally beautiful spread inside, was illustrated by the great Rene Bouche.
Vogue USA heads to the Brussels Fair in Belgium, and brings suitcases of American fashion, 60 styles - from bathing suits to jeans, all of which are shown in a 'lookbook' grid pattern of looks inside this issue. To commence, we see Vogue contributor LEE CANFIELD sitting atop leather suitcases that Vogue sent to Europe for the festival. The fair is used as a backdrop in one or two of the fashion spreads inside, with a great shot of the LE CORBUSIER pavilion in the background in one full page image.
