A very rare issue of the iconic British women's magazine Queen with a gorgeous and rarely repeated multi-colour masthead, including the latest Autum/Winter fashion finds from Paris for the 1963-1964 season.
FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE - Sean Connery stars in the follow up to Dr No as James Bond - photographs from the set by David Hurn
Features an article by feted writer Christopher Isherwood with photography by Cecil Beaton.
A gorgeous multi-page feature on knitwear and evening wear photographed by David Montgomery.
This issue features early images by Donald 'Don' McCullin.
A really fantastic issue of an iconic magazine.
As with all issues of Queen, this issue includes the usual high-brow digest of UK and international culture, film, music, theatre and high society gossip
Originally a traditional society magazine, in the early 50s, editor Jocelyn Steven bought the magazine in 1958 and shifted the format, content and readership to turn Queen into one of the most iconic publications of its time. Working with Beatrix Miller, Norman Parkinson and later Helmut Newton, Queen became a definitive bible for all things 60s.
Very good condition with some light markings to the cover and throughout and some light scuffing to the spine (see images).
