This is a very rare portrait of the late pop artist Pauline Boty, photographed by Peter Laurie.
Boty is posing with a doll in a box that she has made.
The feature is a double page of two POP artists which also features Evelyn Williams with a mask she made.
These portraits appear in a rare vintage Vogue magazine from the sixties.
Boty was a hugely talented Pop artist who was a contemporary of Peter Blake & David Hockney and was in the BBC documentary 'Pop Goes the Easel'.
Her life was cut tragically short when she chose to have her baby and forego cancer treatment. As a consequence features on her are very rare.
You will receive the full magazine, which is also a super time capsule from the 60's.
Both artists are photographed by Peter Laurie.
You will receive the full magazines with many pages of 1960's fashion including a classic Jean Shrimpton shoot, 12 pages on location by David Bailey, etc etc.
The condition is very good overall. The cover and spine (unrelated) have some light wear, slight fade to 0.5 x 3 cm of bottom right of cover - colours vibrant and contents tight.
Shipping includes tracking and insurance. We are happy to combine orders and pass on the savings to you.
