This is an original Academy Awards programme from April 7th 1970 ~ VERY RARE!

This lot also include the wine stained programme for the Ball... and the actual ticket for admittance on the night!

An amazing opportunity to buy the whole package and attend the awards in your dreams in 1970!

What a year for film too, Jack Nicholson was nominated for Easy Rider, Jane Fonda for They Shoot Horse Don't They.  Its a wonderful piece of cinema history.

All of the historic details were there already, it was at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, The Ball was at the Beverly Hilton.

16 page program lists nominations, staff and sponsors, with the iconic Oscar statue in raised expensive metallic gold on cover. ''Midnight Cowboy'' won Best Picture and Best Director, but ''Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid'' took home the most awards with four.

Program cover measures 9'' x 12''.

There were only a limited and extremely exclusive number of programmes in existence and most will be kept by the attendees and their families.  This is the first and only copy we've ever seen, and doubt we will find another!

Excellent condition. It is 50 years old and used so there is the aforementioned wine/coffee stain to the ball invite and the white programme has some light yellowing. The photographs are off the actual invite

Shipping includes insurance & online tracking. We are happy to combine post.
