Noon Magazine No.1 - The Very Rare First Issue !

NOON Spring/Summer 2014

The inaugural issue of art and fashion magazine, NOON, that covers the issues of human condition and experience. The cover is shot by American photographer Max Farago.

In the feature ’Neue Welt’, Wolfgang Tillmans shows a series of photographs from his 2012 book by the same name. During this exploration Tillmans explores the world in an “aimless” way, allowing subject matters to come to him without planning or predetermination.

Featuring the photography and art of:  Mel Bles, Janneke van Der Hagen, Michael Wolf, Jon Rafman, Xavier Poultney, Lena C. Emery, Jason Hughes, Max Farago, Marcelo Gomes, Mark Borthwick, Tao Lin and Wolfgang Tillmans.

Michael Wolf’s stunning 14 page portfolio feature documents the architecture of modern day Hong Kong showing the high-rise buildings that house millions.

‘Brand New Paint Job’ is a 14 page feature on the work of now contentious, artist and filmmaker Jon Rafman; showing his work between 2010-2014. It combines famous paintings with 3D models, overlaying the image as a texture.

The magazine contains a separate booklet as part of the feature ‘Almost Transparent Blue,’ which is written by American novelist and poet Tao Lin about Japanese novelist Ryū Murakami.

NOON is a large format 34 x 24cm and runs for 168 pages.
Beautiful embossed cover logo.

We love the portrait of Yves Saint Laurent on the back cover by Juergen Teller.

Excellent condition, with some light wear to the cover - the photographs are from the actual magazine.
