A very rare 1980's vintage edition of Andy Warhol's Interview magazine.

COVER -

NANCY REAGAN the first lady, married to Ronald Reagan and wearing Red Adolfo - She is also featured inside. Reagan is photographed throughout by Cris Alexander and the classic Interview cover is also illustrated by Richard Bernstein.

CONTENT -

H.R. Geiger is interviewed by none other than Debbie Harry and Chris Stein from Blondie! The iconic artist who designed Ridley Scott's Alien creature is featured with his illustrations and a portrait by Stein

Surfer Buzzy Kerbox is featured inside with a portrait by Bruce Weber.

Weber also shoots a portrait of Ben Cross in a 1 page intro feature.

Brooke Shields is in a Calvin Klein jeans ad inside the front cover.

Interview feature with Placido Domingo.

The penultimate page is FRAN LEBOWITZ' I cover the Waterfront - one page.

Mats Gustafson illustrates one page for LOU LATTIMORE.

There is a great feature on photography books inside and the contents page features an Erwin Blumenfeld image of the lips and eye as used by Vogue.

Interview magazine was founded in 1969 by Andy Warhol. Nicknamed "The Crystal Ball of Pop", it features interviews with artists, musicians, thinkers and pop culture icons.

VG condition. Complete. Even the invitation to subscribe card is still in place. Colours are vibrant and paper clean, odour free. The condition for this 40 year old newsprint magazine is superb. These are extremely fragile wood pulp style newsprint materials that weren't made to last, and light wear is normal. Extremely scarce magazine!
