US Harper's Bazaar March 1963, a very rare and desirable vintage magazine.

"Sokolsky’s Bubbles."

This is an exceptional issue with the famous Bubble fashion shoot by Melvin Sokolsky in Paris. 12 pages

The Paris & American fashion collections are featured. Sokolsky used the amazing bubble to photograph using a crane all over Paris. The only retouching was the removal of a thin cable for suspending the bubble. It's an amazing and surreal shoot legendary in fashion history.

The cover is New York and it's a stunning gatefold. This image was in fact a test shot to prove to the editors that it could work! The model for this shoot and the full Paris shoot was Simone D’Aillencourt

The American collections are also featured inside this highly collectable issue.

Richard Avedons portrait of WH Auden is featured with a profile.

Avedon also photographs 4 pages of fashion.

Judy Garland two page feature; incredible full page photo by Avedon, also one smaller shot.  Includes interview.  There's one small 1" tear at the bottom of the main pic, this has been repaired in the past on the reverse (unrelated feature, on 'Miss Baddeley').

10 pages of studio fashion photographed by Hiro, see last pic.

Excellent condition.  Light wear see photos of the actual magazine being offered.  Collector's issue.
