A truly fantastic historically important and extremely rare issue.

During World War 2 British Vogue was kept in print as a part of the war effort. One of its influences was to encourage people to recycle and contribute paper to the war effort. They sent their archives to be pulped and had features on taking part in the war effort. As a result any British Vogue pre 1945 are some of the rarest magazines on the planet.

Excellent condition for age.  The whole at the top near the spine is part of the design; originally a Pattern Book would have been attached with some string through the hole to keep both together on the newstand. The photograph shows the actual magazine you will receive. Very scarce issue.
