J.H. Lartigue collaborates with Pierre Cardin in a fascinating behind the scenes photos shoot. The child prodigy Lartigue re-creates some of his most iconic images in the mid 1960's, 60 years after their creation.

The idea came from Pierre Cardin and he collaborates with Jeanne Moreau behind the scenes using modern models to pose.  Moreau and Cardin can be seen in these Behind The Scenes BTS photographs.

The rare magazine features shows several of the images and includes the models Hiroko and Catherine. They returned to the locations of the original photographs made around 1906 in Paris.

The photographer Henry Pessar, a friend of Lartigue's in the 1960's, had this to say on his blog about the shoot :

"Through Lartigue, I met Pierre Cardin and Jeanne Moreau in the salons of the Faubourg Saint Honoré. Cardin and Lartigue were enthusiastic and the project was soon on track. Two lovely models, Hiroko and Catherine, are believed to be involved in the venture. A male model, whose name I forgot, would represent the dandies of the time. A dog and a car would do the figuration. In March, we headed for Bois de Boulogne, behind Avenue Foch. Florette Lartigue watched over the models' outfits: trendy dresses, chosen by Cardin and Lartigue. In four hours the photos were taken: Lartigue used a Leica and a Rollei. I was behind the scenes ... A single comment when J.H.L. found the place half a century earlier: the trees have grown a lot!"

This is an extremely rare British tabloid magazine and the story runs across 3 pages. The magazine is very rare as it was only available for one week in the 1960's. You will receive the full A3 newspaper / magazine.

Condition is very good. The newspaper pages are a little yellowed which is normal.   The photographs you see are from the actual copy you will receive.
