Ian Dury is featured in a one page article in this very rare early 1980’s weekend supplement talking about musicians he admires in his field.

The article is full of classic Dury wit too, ‘I’m not really a singer, more of a sprouter’ and is a great insight into how Dury thought about his craft.

The portrait of Dury is a brilliant illustration and collage by legendary Pop Artist Peter Blake

 that we have never seen before. 

It was probably made to illustrate this article as it shows some of the artists Dury is talking about.
