The decline of Haight Ashbury, birthplace of the hippie dream in San Francisco, is featured in this very rare Observer supplement magazine.
The area is run down "a drug ghetto and a skid row for young people". Article by Celia Curtis, 6 page feature, as she travels to SF. Evocative 1970's photographs by Ted Streshinsky. Steve Stacey and RON LANDBERG of the Good Earth Commune is interviewed and photographed, as is the Mayor of San Fransisco ...along with Love who is the second cousin to ex-Queen Soraya of Persia. I mean... this is pure gold!
