This is a studio pottery vase made by Helmut Friedrich Schäffenacker. His studio was based in Ulm, Germany and Schäffenacker won many national and international awards for his ceramic work.
He pioneered innovative designs and techniques. This piece is a fine example of those qualities. Dates from the 1950's or 1960's.
There is a maker's engraving of 'V21' in the base.
The vase measures approx 15cm high and 12cm wide.
Still retains the original gold sticker to one side.
Wonderful organic sculptural shape.
Perfect condition. One tiny chip at the base which is barely visible.
