This is the sought after Ian Fleming issue of The Sunday Times Magazine from 1962.  It was initially called 'The Sunday Times Colour Section'.

The Sunday Times began in '62 and this is a very early and hard to find issue.

Ian Fleming writes a three page feature for The Sunday Times.  There's also a collection of guns, which have been illustrated by Charles Pickard. This IAN FLEMING article "JAMES BOND'S HARDWARE" was published in the U.S. under the title "The Guns of James Bond", and in this UK weekly magazine, dated November 18, 1962, it includes illustrations of the various guns.

VERY RARE AND MUST HAVE FLEMING/007 COLLECTOR - this is THE TRUE FIRST U.K. APPEARANCE OF THIS IAN FLEMING ARTICLE DETAILING HOW IAN FLEMING SELECTED THE GUNS THAT JAMES BOND WOULD USE IN HIS STORY, AND HOW HE HAD RECEIVED A LETTER FROM NOTED GUN SPECIALIST GEOFFREY BOOTHROYD IN 1956 (AFTER HAVING READ SEVERAL OF THE BOND BOOKS) AND CONVINCED FLEMING TO CHANGE JAMES BOND'S WEAPON OF CHOICE FROM A BERETTA TO THE NOW INFAMOUS WALTHER PPK.

AS A THANK YOU FLEMING MADE BOOTHROYD "THE ARMOURER" OF THE BRITISH SECRET SERVICE IN THE FOLLOWING BOOK.

THIS FLEMING ARTICLE WAS NEVER REPUBLISHED OR REPRINTED IN BOOK FORM.  EXTREMELY DIFFICULT ITEM TO FIND NOW SINCE AS A WEEKLY MAGAZINE THAT WAS INTENDED AS A SUNDAY NEWSPAPER INSERT (PUBLISHED IN CHEAP "NEWSPAPER" LIKE FORMAT) IT WASN'T ROUTINELY SAVED.

Also in this issue -

Cecil Beaton's London house.

Brazil, the dying tribes cover feature.  The cover image is of the Karaja chieftain's son.

Excellent condition .The photograph is of the actual magazine you will receive.  Impossibly scarce rare issue of The Sunday Times!
