Rare cover image of American model Gia Carangi, shot by legendary photographer Helmut Newton for Vogue Paris in April 1979. Said to be the first supermodel, Carangi lived an unstable drug-dependent life and died in 1986 at the age of 26 after contracting HIV. This is Gia's 1st cover for Vogue France.
