The cover art is by George Quintana. The cult figure and hair-dresser to the stars George Quaintance, using his cover artist nom de plume George Quintana, who borrowed heavily from fellow pulp magazine artist Enoch Bolles. Quintana started out working for Movie Humor, a magazine which followed the style of Film Fun that the owners the Delacorte's (who also owned Film Fun) filed a law suit. Quintana worked for Movie Humor, Reel Humor, New York Nights and Silk Stockings as well as this title.
Fantastic cover - depicts a blonde dance girl.
Fully illustrated throughout with photographs and drawings including Hollywood pin-ups, film stars, plus art deco showgirls, movie starlets, strip show performance gals etc etc!
Photographs include GINGER ROGERS (full page), ALTHEA ELDER, BROADWAY GIRLS, CHICK CHANDLER, HELEN MACK, PHIL HARRIS, RKO stars, and VIRGINIA CRANE.
The magazine is filled with chorus girls, showgirls, burlesque follies girls.... provocatively posed beauties in a variety of situations and scenes. This is a rare title served to bridge the gap between the previous generation of the spicy pulps and the later men's titles such as Playboy and Penthouse.
Measures a complete and untrimmed 8 1/2 " by 11 1/2". Complete - 48 pages.
