Very rare Petticoat magazine from the 1960’s.

Francoise Hardy on the cover of this rare fashion magazine, photographed by Tony Norris from a feature inside on ‘Anglo Phobia’ which focuses on the popularity of English designers of the time. Hardy is interviewed about the clothes she bought in Carnaby Street. It’s a brilliant 9 page editorial with classic 60’s go-go style poses and iconic English Carnaby Street clothes. Includes one more photograph of Francoise Hardy, all by Norris.

2 page interview and portrait of PJ Proby. Also, another 2 page editorial as PJ talks about his makeup effects for his cheekbones.

2 page feature on the new Othello film with Sir Laurence Olivier, with photos of Maggie Smith.

Interior design feature.

There are also multiple short stories.

Petticoat is littered with beautiful illustrations and photography.  We love Francois' checked tartan suit worn on the cover!

This magazine is over 50 years old. The photograph is of the actual magazine you will receive.
