The cover model is Jean Patchett and you can in fact see the original photo in an editorial inside. Blumenfeld has taken the B+W original and painted it, turning a very ordinary beauty illustration photograph into a work of genius.

Good condition. It has wear to the cover front back and spine and we have tried to show it in detail. It is almost 75 years old and is one of the better copies we have ever seen in over 25 years. When we saw it in a Blumenfeld exhibition at Somerset House in London their copy had a big red OFFICE COPY stamp on it - they-are-that-rare! See our last two photos for said images from that show that we shot at the time. Some of the internal pages have some marks too including the Jean Patchett page, its very good overall.
