This is a very scarce 1930's Beauty Book published by the British edition Vogue.
It is dated Feb 22nd, 1939.
Featuring a beautiful drawing by the fashion illustrator Eduardo Benito for the cover.
This was a supplement to Vogue and would have been attached to the regular edition by some ribbon which would have been threaded through the hole you can see top right of the cover. These supplement magazines are even scarcer than the standard newsstand edition of Vogue as most supplemental magazines were discarded. Very few have survived.
Brilliant gold tone background with a pop of Schiaparelli pink lipstick to match the unique masthead. In the 1930's artists who designed the cover image were also permitted to art direct the VOGUE title.
Condition - Excellent with very light wear, close to 80 years old! This photograph is of the actual magazine you will receive.
