The case that led to a reform in the UK Justice system on the cover and featured in the Observer weekend magazine. This rare 1970's edition of the Observer supplement features the landmark case that went on to help reform the interrogation of suspects and to introduce PACE; the reform of interrogation procedures by the Police in the British criminal justice system.
The headline is all about the Miscarriage of Justice when they were eventually released (correctly). All three were accused of murdering a black transvestite prostitute in Catford, South London, and then setting fire to her house. They served time until they were freed years later.
There was a documentary recently screened in the UK about this case that had ramifications around the world.
