Photographer Colin Jones spent 5 years documenting 'The Black House' in Holloway, North London. The house was an improvised refuge for a disenfranchised black community who had come over as a part of the Windrush generation. Many had rejected their parents choices for them in this new country. This powerful work by Jones was exhibited at The Photographers Gallery in London - this has a feature with exceptional images from the series. 6 pages.
