After collecting not only vintage magazines - but vintage clothes as well for many years, I'm starting to downsize my collection of vintage Ossie's, Biba, Jean Varon, Dollyrockers, Vamp, Quorum, Alice Pollock etc pieces - stayed tuned for updates!

Next up is a rare 1940’s homemade dress with some great detailing. Made in a cotton/linen type fabric and the print is a nod to paisley and pop art florals.  

Classic 1940’s shape with fitted waist and looser skirt. The dress has V-neck with collar which is stitched into the shoulder hem. The dress fastens with 6 pretty white original vintage plastic buttons down the front and has great slouch pockets on the hips decorated with the same white buttons. There are thread belt loops on the waist but no belt included. 

This dress is in good wearable condition. There is some wear and tear on one of the cuffs and around the waistband and pockets. There is also a small hole on the front of the dress near the left pocket. These are all things to be expected with a dress of this age. Please inspect photos as these form part of the description.

Sleeve length: 12.5 inches


Equivalent to a modern day size 14, give or take.
