World War 2 era Vogues are extremely rare as there was recycling during and after the war

Cover photographed by Horst, who fled Paris in 1939 to evade the Nazi's and began to shoot for American Vogue in New York.  The model is BETTY MCLAUCHLEN, who is Robert Downey Jnr's grandmother.
