CECIL BEATON photographs models in dresses from his exhibition that he organised for the V&A.  The show was called 'Fashion'.  This feature runs  6 pages.  Models wear vintage gowns by Charles James, Schiaparelli, Poiret, Vionnett, Fortuny, Dior and Balenciaga.  The actual show also included more modern designs including Mr Freedom.  There's also a Lucile collared cape by Lady Lucy Duff-Gordon.
