Very rare vintage French edition Elle magazine, a weekly publication.

Audrey Hepburn is one the the greatest film stars of all time, she came to prominence in Roman Holiday and became a star in Breakfast at Tiffany's where she wore Givenchy throughout and became a muse of the great fashion designer. 

This is a beautiful and charming cover of Audrey. French Elle is also one of the great magazines of this period with continously great graphic design and content. 

The cover photograph of Audrey is also accompanied by a large feature entitled Audrey Hepburn - Mannequin D'Un Jour (Model of the day) and Audrey models in a 6 page fashion shoot.  There are 7 different photographs of Audrey and she wears designs by Dior, Cardin, Guy Laroche, Madam Gres, Michel Goma and more.

Erwin Blumenfeld full page photograph to illustrate a beauty feature. This seems to be a manipulated version of the Blue Veil image.  Here a pane of broken glass has been layered on top of the now famous image - a variation we've not seen before.

Tweed suits and linen dresses by the likes of Christian Dior, Griffe, Minny and Fred Roy are modeled over 14 pages and shot by William Connors.

Interiors feature includes mid-century modern sofas and settees from designers such as Mobilier International, Presence and more.

This magazine is over 60 years old. Very good condition with light wear to the cover, contents perfect. The staples still hold the cover and all the internal pages tightly. The photograph is of the actual magazine you will receive.
