In one shot a painted fabric background is used as a backdrop, but they didn't need this when you look up and see one of the iconic graffiti train sailing past overhead! ( The book SUBWAY ART was published a few years later in 1984...). Also note the chopper bike with the big handlebars making an appearance in this rare and important fashion and cultural record of America's greatest city!
