A fantastic collectable issue of French Elle from the 1960's.
Contains a brilliant collab between Antonio Lopez and Harri Peccinotti! Two greats in one story!!
Antonio the fashion illustrator did a series of collaborations with photographers in the pages of French Elle this one is a seaside / beach version with Peccinotti. The collaged combination of photographs and illustrations is something we have not seen before or since. Also fun to see an actual photo of Antonio holding a camera as the photographer in the spreads! The theme is a fashion model as photographer.
And, as if that most magnificent feature wasn't enough...
The opening pages are a very rare Helmut Newton car advert style fashion shoot for Pierre D'Alby. The car shoot is a fold out cover quite unusual for the day and very inventive for its time. It looks like a Jeep and Porsche were used.
