More recently, this incredible story was made into an Oscar nominated feature film for Netflix in 2024; Society Of The Snow - which recounts the miracle of the Andes and how the rugby team from Uruguay survived 10 weeks on top of a mountain in Chile.
These impossible to find, vintage issues of the The Observer magazine were only published for one day in the UK, back in the seventies. They were out as a supplement to the newspaper with no publicity and were mostly discarded.
