Default Title

A Very hard-to-find mid 60s October 1964 issue of Queen magazine when the publication was in its prime with Iconic British model and photographer Jill Kennington on the cover photographed by Donald Silverstein.

This issue features the PARIS COLLECTIONS photographed by Terence Donovan.

There is another countryside fashion shoot by Donovan later in this great fashion issue.

Art Kane is featured with a stunning AMERICA portfolio of double page colour photographs.

BLACKS RIGHT - Saul Leiter photographs childrens fashion with some gorgeous black and white photography of black styled clothes around the streets of 1960's London.

As with all issues of Queen, this issue includes the usual digest of UK and international culture, film, music, theatre and high society gossip

Originally a society magazine in the early 50s, editor Jocelyn Steven bought the magazine in 1958 and shifted the format, content and readership to turn Queen into one of the most iconic publications of its time. Working with Beatrix Miller, Norman Parkinson and later Helmut Newton, Queen became a definitive bible for all things 60s.
