A very rare 90's and especially beautiful issue of the cult French fashion and culture magazine Egoïste featuring an iconic Uma Thurman with a white dove on the cover, shot by Richard Avedon. 

This issue includes contributions by world ranking photographers, writers and artists including much work by Richard Avedon. Other contributors include Amy Arbus, Bettina Rheims, Karl Lagerfeld, Francois Marie Banier, Max Vadukul.

This is a beautiful collection of black and white photography, along with bespoke advertisements for the houses of Chanel, Hermès, Louis Vuitton and Calvin Klein. 

Printed on high grade heavy A3 paper, and weighs around 1kg.

Founded in 1977 by Nicole Wisniak, Egoïste is an iconic large-format occasional French fashion and culture magazine showcasing the best in international photography and writing. Wisniak funded the magazine through specially produced, single-use adverts for all the major fashion houses shot by the best photographers including Richard Avedon, Helmut Newton, Bettina Rheims, Guy Bourdin, Paolo Roversi.

Egoïste is still running today, is now only in it's 19th edition - in over 40 years of publication. It has a limited print run of 25,000 copies so has become highly collectible. Some copies go for as much as $1000 at auction.

Egoïste features black and white photography from one of the world's most celebrated photographers and generally take over 3 years for each publication to be completed.
