We are the largest vintage fashion magazine archive in the world. Based in London, our archive contains over 60,000 magazines and books with well over 500 individual titles. We only display less than 2% on our website, which is more of a taste.
Our clients include international fashion houses, photographers, artists and private collectors, and we have supplied magazines for museum shows at the V&A, The Design Museum, The National Portrait Gallery in the UK and Australia, and MoMa in NYC.
Covering over 100 years of fashion history up to the present day, we have rare and lesser-known works like the gorgeous Flair from the 50s, Avante Garde from the 70's and Ritz from the 80s. Of the better known brands, we have an entire collection of UK Vogue going back to 1916, the entire collection of the original NOVA, hundreds of Italian and French Vogues going back to the early 1900s, full sets of The Face, Dazed & Confused and many modern titles including Fantastic Man, Numero, Self-Service, Another Magazine, LOVE, POP, and The Gentlewoman.
Archiving, cataloguing and consultancy keep us busy and we welcome enquiries. Often a simple request can lead to us unearthing more suggestions from a wide range of sources. The archive also contains some design, music, interiors and film magazines as well as fashion-related books.
The archive can be visited by private appointment. If you have any enquiries please contact us outlining what you are after. We will be happy to help using our database and extensive knowledge of content and contributors.
