Kiki Picasso CDG Martine Sitbon KENZO Jill magazine # 12 December 1985

£225.00

Default Title

The last ever issue of the indoutable Parisian style bible Jill edited by Claude Keslassy with cover models wearing Detlef and Josephine of Paris styled by Parisian jewellery designer Hélène Zubeldia and shot by Denis Chapouillié. Need we say more?

Just the best issue with an eye-catching shoot by Marcus Tomlinsen with designs by Comme des Garçons, Yohji Yamamoto, Kenzo, Hermès, Jean Paul Gaultier, a gorgeous 6 page shoot of André Jerada eveningwear with the most BCBG shoes by Martine Sitbon photographed by Denis Chapouillié, plus many many more pages of fashion photography by Thierry Rajic, Amyn Nasser, Simone Bocanegra, Tim Simmons, Patrick Trautwein and others.

Plus three great profile pieces on eccentric Russian writer, poet and political dissident Edouard Liminov, cult French artist Kiki Picasso, and alt-rock group Les Endimanchés. And can we take a moment to admire the studded heels in the very last image... I mean... WANT!

A gorgeous farewell from a legendary fashion and style magazine. We are so not worthy.

Founded by Elizabeth 'Babeth' Dijan, who would later go on to edit Numéro, Jill is the quintessential 1980s Parisian style bible which only ran for 12 issues between 1983-85. With its gorgeous, lavishly styled black and white fashion shoots and sleek design, Jill went on to become a legendary title among fashion designer, stylists and photographers.
