Founded by Annie Flanders in 1982, Details featured the best in fashion, culture and politics from New York's downtown scene. Bought out by Conde Nast in 1988 the publication was rebranded as a more mainstream men's quarterly, but retained its focus on pop and celebrity culture with an irreverent twist.
