NORMAN PARKINSON Paris Collections QUEEN MAGAZINE August 1962

£245.00

Default Title

A very sought after 1962 copy of the iconic women's magazine Queen featuring a gorgeous beauty headshot cover by renowned 60s fashion photographer Norman Parkinson.

This is a really great issue featuring packed with lots of fashion forward content from the latest Paris Collections shot by Parkinson and others, plus pages of really beautiful fashion illustrations.

As with all issues of Queen, this issue includes the usual digest of UK and international culture, film, music, theatre and high society gossip including quirky and irreverent articles.

Not to be missed!

Originally a society magazine started in 1861. In the early 50s, editor Jocelyn Steven bought the magazine in 1958 and shifted the format, content and readership to turn Queen into one of the most iconic publications of its time. Working with Beatrix Miller, Norman Parkinson and later Helmut Newton, Queen became a definitive bible for all things 60s.

This issue is especially rare as it features the large 'Q' masthead which only appeared on the cover of Queen during 1962.

Very Good condition for a magazine of this age with some light marks and creases  (see images).
